5303 series Back-EMF DCC Sound Decoder

5203 Introduction

5303 series Back-EMF DCC Sound Decoder The DXDC 5303 series Back-EMF DCC Sound Decoder is suitable for all HO scale locomotives and provides an individual sound version for each type of locomotives.

The product supports the function of upgrading decoded routine and sound file on your own. Users can customize the decoded routine and sound file of DXDC 5303 series Back-EMF DCC Sound Decoder by DXDC Programmer.

The product supports the 14-step, 28-step and 128-step speed control of the DCC protocol. The lights of the locomotive are operated by 6 function outputs. Two function outputs of them provide 8 lighting effects including the dimmer, the warning effect, the blinking by speed effect, the random blinking effect, the strobe light effect and the 3 fixed-frequency blinking effects. By adjusting the CV settings, more than thousands of lighting effects are provided. As regards the sound features, the decoder supports up to 64 sound effects and up to 4 mixing sound effects can be heard at the same time. The light output and the motor circuit are coming with over-load protection to reduce users’ loses caused by accidents.

To adapt the structures spaces of all types of locomotives and for the convenience to install the product, the DXDC offers 2 types of Back-EMF DCC Sound Decoder. The 2 types are different from their connector which one is with 8-pin and the other is with 21-pin. Excepting the appearances and the sizes, the functions of the 2 types are same.

Suitable locomotive types The DXDC 5303 series Back-EMF Sound Decoder is suitable for the HO scale locomotives. The Decoder is fully compatible with the NMRA/DCC standard and under the control of varies DCC digital command control system compatible with DCC standard. Operation using a conventional DC controller is possible without any problem.

Function CharacteristicsSpeed control There are two speed control settings: the speed curve setting and the speed table setting.

Over load protection The DXDC 5303 series Back-EMF DCC Sound Decoder provides the over load protection to keep safe of light output and locomotive. When the light output is over 500mA, the light output function will be protected by closing all light outputs. All lights will not be light up until restarting the control box.

When the locomotive current is over1A (the larger the locomotive loading is, the larger the current is), the locomotive output will be protected by stopping the running of the locomotive and flashing the FL/RL. The locomotive will not run again and the FL/RL will keep flashing until restarting the control box.

The 5303 series Back-EMF DCC Sound Decoder is equipped with CV53 for you to adjust the current to protect the over-load situation. You may adjust the value according to the actual using situation.

Temperature protection According to the hardware design of the DXDC 5303 series Back-EMF DCC Sound Decoder, it has improved temperature protection function. As the surface temperature of decoder is above the range set by users, it will lay off. AS for related software version, please take note of the DXDC web.
